How do I set up my USB HDD for use with a modded console

First things first, you need a hard drive to put you backed up game files on. In order for the mass storage device to communicate with your console it needs to be put into FAT32 format rather than the standard default NTFS.

Windows driver manager utility will only allow you to format a partition on the hard drive that is greater than 32GB. You will find that you will require far more storage capacity than 32GB and there are ways to accomplish this using third party software. The program I would recommend is SwissKnife which you can download from CNET HERE.

The program is pretty straight forward and should not take too much time to figure out and I will make a detailed tutorial at a later date. Once you have formatted your partition to FAT32 in any size configuration you'd like it is ready for use with your modded console.
